Come make music with me!

Heidi Schnarr is a freelance conductor, pianist, choral educator, accompanist, and private teacher with over 10 years’ experience.

She teaches general, choral, and band music to grades K-12 in Victor, MT, teaches private lessons, and freelances as a piano performer, accompanist, and conductor.

She taught classroom and choral music to grades preK-8 in both public and private schools for ten years before moving to Montana July of 2016, including 3 years in the Shrewsbury, MA public schools to elementary grades.  She also taught Middle School Chorus at Bancroft School, a K-12 independent school in Worcester, MA.  She works with students of all levels; and especially enjoys working with young children individually and in groups.

In 2015-2016, Heidi conducted the Plainville Choral Society, a community chorus of about 40 members.  She has been musical director for community, school, and college shows, most recently Bonnie & Clyde at Marist College and Frog & Toad, Kids, at Cape Fear Regional Theatre as a visiting Music Director.

She has been music director (choir director and organist) at 3 different churches, most recently serving as Music Director at Advent Lutheran Church in Wyckoff, NJ.

Heidi holds a B.A. in English with a minor in Music Performance (piano) from Hood College, and a Master of Music in Conducting from Bard College, where she graduated in 2013.

In her free time, Heidi likes to spend time meditating, making music with other enthusiasts, hiking the hills and forests of Montana, and exploring a variety of spiritual beliefs.  She lives with her cat in Stevensville, MT.

Come see her show at the Stevensville Public Library, North Valley Library, Friday, 3 May 2019, 6 PM and then, 24 May, Friday, at Missoula’s famous Roxy Theater, in Missoula, MT, 7:30 PM. She collaborates with Florence trumpeter, Elliott Oppenheim
